Mysuru: Drosophila Stock Centre, Department of Studies in Zoology, Manasagangothri, has organised a National Workshop and hands-on training on “Teaching and Learning Biology with Drosophila” at its Seminar Hall here from Feb.26 to 28.
Prof. C. Basavaraju, In-Charge Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore, will inaugurate the function at 9.15 am tomorrow.
Prof. H.A. Ranganath, Visiting Professor, IISc., and former Vice- Chancellor, Bangalore University, will deliver the keynote address.
The valedictory, to be held on Feb.28 at 4.30 pm, will be presided over by D. Bharathi, Registrar. Prof. Hemanth Kumar, Co-ordinator, UPE, University of Mysore, will be the chief guest.
Organising Committee Members Prof. Sadananda M. Yamakanamaradi, Prof. H.N. Yajurvedi, Prof. N.B. Ramachandra, Prof. B.V. Shyamala, Dr. S.S. Malini, Dr. S. Basavarajappa, Dr. M.K. Ramakrishna, M.C. Nithyananda, Y.S. Saraswathi and N. Krishnamurthy Naik will be present.
