National Workshop on Electric Formula Race Car Design held

Mysuru/Mysore: The eight-day National-level Inter-Collegiate workshop on “Gasoline, Electric Formula Race Car Design and Fabrication” organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Maharaja Institute of Technology (MIT), Mysuru, in collaboration with Elite Techno Groups, concluded on Feb. 20.  

More than 80 students participated in the workshop from various parts of India like Gujarat, Pune, Hyderabad, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka. They were guided and supervised to generate their own ideas of the formula race car, evolving design and fabrication of the same. The fabricated formula race car models were tested for functionality. 

The launch was flagged off by Dr. B.G. Naresh Kumar, Principal, MIT Mysore, Dr. T. Vasudev, Secretary, Maharaja Education Trust (MET) and Dr. Mohamed Khaisar, HoD, Mechanical Engineering, on Feb. 20.

Dr. S. Murali, President, (MET); Satyendra Devarakonde, Vice-President, VST Tillers and Tractors Ltd, Mysuru; Arbaaz Sheik, Delegate, Elite Techno Groups and Prof. K.J. Yogesh Kumar, Workshop Coordinator were present at the valedictory event. 

Department Faculty Prof. G.D.  Chethana proposed a vote of thanks.
