Mysore/Mysuru: To mark the. 75th anniversary of Indian Independence, Department of History and Social Sciences, Teresian College, Mysuru, in association with Indian Council for Historical Research (ICHR); Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, Mysuru and in collaboration with TOUCAN Research and Development, Bengaluru, is organising a two-day inter-disciplinary National Conference on ‘India Independence at 75: Revisiting Indian National Movement’ on Aug. 29 and 30 at Teresian College, Siddarthanagar.
Prof. G. Hemantha Kumar, VC, University of Mysore, will inaugurate the Conference on Aug. 29 at 10 am in Ave Maria Golden Jubilee Auditorium, Teresian College. A. Devaraju, KAS, Commissioner, Dept. of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage; Dr. S.K. Aruni, Regional Director, ICHR, Bengaluru and Dr. K.K. Mishra, Director, TOUCAN, Bengaluru, will be present during the inaugural.
Valedictory: Prof. Lancy D’Souza, Professor in Psychology, Maharaja’s College, Mysuru and Prof. Pushpa Sharma, Professor in History, Kurukshetra University, Haryana, will be present at the valedictory to be held on Aug. 30 at 1.30 pm.
Proceedings of the Conference will be published as a book. The participants of the Conference will receive a participation certificate and OOD certificate.
