Natl. Conference on ‘Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors’ held in city

Mysuru: The 20th National Conference on ‘Solid State Nuclear Track Detectors and Their Applications’ was organised by the Department of Physics, VVIET, Mysuru, in association with Nuclear Track Society of India and Indian Nuclear Society, Mysuru, at VVIET Campus in city on Oct.26.

The Conference was inaugurated by Dr. S.K. Chakravarthi, former Dean and Chairman, National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra. In his address, Prof. Chakravarthi said: “A teacher should be a lifelong student and one should inculcate inquest quality and be eager to learn the subject in detail.” He emphasised on the importance of conference and its benefit for young research scholars to know the new technological advancements in their research fields.

More than 200 research scholars presented their papers. Scientists and faculty members from National Institutes across India participated.
