The Mysore Centre of the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) – ACCE (I), National Institute of Engineering (NIE) and Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE) are jointly organising a one-day National Workshop on ‘Recent Advances in Geotechnics for Infrastructure – RAGI 17’, under TEQIP II initiative on Mar. 25 (Saturday) at Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Hall, NIE.
Prof. T.N. Nagabhushan, Principal, SJCE, will inaugurate the workshop at 10 am. Dr. Chandan Ghosh, Professor, NIDM, New Delhi, will release the Technical Proceedings. Prof. Mysuru R. Yadupathi Putty, Principal, NIE, will preside.
In the technical sessions that follow, Dr. Chandan Ghosh, Dr. R. Shivashankar, Professor of Civil Engineering, NITK, Surathkal, Dr. L. Govindaraju, Professor of Civil Engineering, UVCE, Bengaluru and Dr. Anbazhagan, Asst. Professor of Civil Engineering, IISc, Bengaluru, will be addressing on the following topics: 1. Dynamic Loading on foundations – Theory to Practice; 2. Geotechnical Engineering in Practice+; 3. Challenges in Underground Metro Construction; 4.Seismic Site characterization for urban areas.
Interested civil engineers and students may attend the workshop. They need to register at the spot and the registration is free, according to a press release from R. Sundara Murthy, Chairman, ACCE (I), Mysore.
