Need more flights from Mysuru; make flying attractive

Sir,

There has been a noticeable decline in the growth of the Mysuru Airport over the past few months, which is a concerning trend for a city like Mysuru, known for its significance in tourism.

This downturn can be attributed to the cancellation and reduction of flights. Notably, flights to destinations like Mangaluru, Goa and Kochi have been discontinued. Additionally, there is a lack of adequate publicity in the media regarding flight schedules and information.

To address this issue, it is imperative that Mysuru Airport introduces new flight routes, such as ones connecting to Hubballi and Pune. These connections could facilitate easier access to major cities like Mumbai and Delhi, reducing the need for time-consuming travel to Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA). Such improvements could also benefit international travellers.

Another crucial aspect to consider is the cost of flying. Reducing the cost of air travel could potentially stimulate the positive growth of the Mysuru Airport. It is my hope that the relevant authorities take note of these concerns and work towards enhancing the Airport’s accessibility and attractiveness to travellers.
