New Delhi: All India Pre Medical Test, the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET), exam has been postponed to Sept. 12.
Central Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan took to twitter to announce it officially.
Earlier, NEET exam was scheduled on Aug. 1 but now in order to follow the COVID protocols, it has been postponed to September.
From today (July 13) 5 pm onwards the application process will begin for the candidates through National Testing Agency (NTA) website.
Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted, “In order to ensure social distancing norms, number of cities where examination will be conducted has been increased from 155 to 198. The number of examination centres will also be increased from the 3,862 centres used in 2020. To ensure adherence to COVID-19 protocols, face mask will be provided to all candidates at the centre. Staggered time slots during entry and exit, contactless registration, proper sanitisation, seating with social distancing etc., will also be ensured.”
