Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru’s Nehru Yuva Kendra, coming under the Union Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has invited applications from interested youths for appointment as full time National Youth Volunteers on a contractual basis (two years) in the district.
Sixteen volunteers (2 each from eight taluks of the district) for field work in nation-building activities and two other volunteers as office computer operators will be appointed.
The applicants must be aged between 18 and 29 years (as on Apr.1, 2021) with a minimum educational qualification of pass in tenth standard. However, preference will be given for higher qualified candidates and those having computer skills. Also, candidates who are currently pursuing academics are not eligible to apply. Preference will be given for youths who have served Youth Associations (men and women), NCC and NSS. The tenure of first year of service will be from Apr.1, 2021 to Mar.31,2022 and continuance of service for the second year depends on the performance in first year. The selected volunteers will be paid a monthly honorarium of Rs.5,000.
