Mysore/Mysuru: Nehru Yuva Kendra in association with National Service Scheme (NSS), University of Mysore, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, has organised District Youth Parliament at Youth Hostel in city on Dec. 28 at 11 am.
Mysuru has been selected as one of the four nodal centres in the State. Chamarajanagar, Mandya, Ramanagar, Bengaluru city and rural, Kolar, Chikkaballapur and Tumakuru districts come under the Mysuru nodal centre.
Youths aged 18 to 25 years of Mysuru district are eligible to participate in the programme in person and from other districts virtually. The programme will be held in Kannada, Hindi and English at District-level and in Hindi and English at National-level. Participating candidates have to speak for maximum of four minutes about a given topic.
Top two winners from district- level will be selected for State level programme. Similarly, top two winners from State-level will be selected for National-level programme.
Top three winners at the National-level programme will get a cash prize of Rs. 2 lakh, Rs. 1.5 lakh and Rs. 1 lakh respectively.
