Mysore/Mysuru: After the spectacular electoral win in Delhi, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) now strives to make an impact at the National-level and has started restructuring its State Units. In this backdrop, AAP’s Committee on National Affairs, has appointed Kapil Bhardwaj, the party’s trusted youth leader and election strategist as Karnataka’s new in-charge.
Kapil Bhardwaj completed his education in USA and worked in a few Multinational Companies and then set up his own business. In the run-up to the 2015 Vidhana Sabha elections, he was campaign manager as well as in-charge of booth management. He was also a key member of the election think-tank for the 2017 Punjab elections and Delhi MCD elections. He held similar responsibilities for the Delhi Legislative Assembly election in February.
AAP Karnataka Convener Prithvi Reddy has welcomed this appointment and emphasised the need to replicate Delhi’s citizen-friendly model of governance in Karnataka too.
On his appointment, Kapil Bhardwaj tweeted in Kannada and expressed his gratitude for being given this responsibility. Speaking to party workers, he highlighted the failure of BJP Government in managing Covid crisis and expressed confidence that AAP will win the BBMP elections this time.
