New team of Mysore Obstetrics & Gynaecological Society

Mysore/Mysuru: The Mysore Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society has installed its new office-bearers for the academic year 2026-2027, with a renewed focus on advancing women’s healthcare and academic excellence.

The new team assumed office in the presence of senior members and distinguished guests from the medical fraternity.

Dr. A. Sonia Mandappa took charge as President, Dr. Sindhu Lakshmi Durgesh as Secretary and Dr. M.D. Rashmi as Treasurer.

The team has adopted the theme “Excellence with Empathy,” emphasising both clinical excellence and compassionate, patient-centered care.

The Mysore Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society plans to strengthen academic programmes, promote evidence-based practice and enhance skill development in areas such as minimally invasive surgery and reproductive health.  The Society will also conduct workshops, conferences and outreach programmes during the year to improve awareness and access to quality healthcare for women across communities.
