Mysore/Mysuru: City newspaper distributors, yesterday, paid tributes to former MLA Vasu, who passed away on Mar. 9. Vasu was the Hon. President of Adhikruta Patrika Prathinidhigala Sangha. Tributes were paid to the portrait of late Vasu near Dufferin Clock Tower in city.
Speaking on the occasion, Sangha President P. Suresh said that Vasu had served at the Hon. President of the Sangha, served in politics, field of sports and education and also in media sector.
Former Corporator P. Prashanth Gowda recollected his association with Vasu.
Sangha Gen. Secretary A. Ravi said that Vasu had served as the MLA of Chamaraja Constituency and was responsible for the construction of many hospitals thus coming to the aid of poor patients.
Former Mysuru District Journalists’ Association (MDJA) S.T. Ravikumar (RK), Prajanudi Editor Veerabhadrappa, Newspaper Distributors Welfare Association President Homdev, Star of Mysore and Mysuru Mithra Circulation Manager T.S. Gopinath, Girish of Prajavani, Ganesh of Kannada Prabha, Shanteshbabu, Chandru, Krishna and others were present on the occasion.
