Mysore/Mysuru: The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Faberz Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Nashik, Maharashtra, on Sept. 15 at NIE.
The signing of the MoU was scheduled on ‘Engineers Day’, celebrated in memory of Bharat Ratna Sir M. Visvesvaraya.
Faberz specialises in converting ideas and proof of concept into products with a quick turn around time.
Faberz also provides support during various stages of the product development cycle up to commercialisation.
The collaboration will enable the two organisations to synergise their expertise and give boost to research, invention and start-ups at NIE.
The company will provide projects, internship, training and product development opportunities for students.
The key areas identified for collaborative research and development are energy harvesting, pattern recognition & image processing, automation, robotics and Internet of Things. A multi-disciplinary team from NIE comprising faculty and students from the Departments of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering will be working with Faberz Technologies, according to a press release from N.V.
