To facilitate internship and project work for students
Mysore/Mysuru: The National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Bhoruka Extrusions Private Limited (BEPL), Mysuru, recently.
The company, based in Mysuru, is the industry leader in aluminium extrusions and has global footprint. BEPL has state-of-the-art extrusion plant in Mysuru with fully automated PLC controlled equipment. Bhoruka has been catering to the growing demand and utilisation of aluminium in various sectors ranging from electronics, transportation, textiles, renewable energy, defense, aerospace, etc., specialised in the development of custom- made profiles under made-to-order.
The MoU, signed by Dr. N.V. Raghavendra, Principal of NIE and Rajath Agarwal, Director, on behalf of Bhoruka Extrusions Pvt. Limited, will facilitate excellent opportunities for the students of Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) at NIE to take up internship, training and project work at Bhoruka.
The scope of the MoU covers visits, industrial training, internship/ skill development programmes, final year projects, etc. NIE students, who undergo internship and training, will be given preference in Placements. The Department of Industrial & Production Engineering at NIE has excellent teaching faculty, most of whom have acquired Ph.D from IITs and NITs. About 10 research scholars have acquired Ph.D degrees working under the Professors in the IPE Department.
