Mysore/Mysuru: Government of India NITI Aayog Sub-Advisor Muniraju held a progress review meeting on education of tribal children, at Dr. Babu Jagjivan Ram Bhavan on Valmiki Road in Paduvarahalli here yesterday.
Muniraju sought inputs on the quantum of success achieved in the implementation of all Central Welfare Schemes for tribals and education of tribal children living in hamlets. Muniraju directed the officials to take more measures for betterment of lives of the tribal population and also to ensure that tribal children are not deprived of education for any reason. He also instructed for effective implementation of revised Tribal Welfare Schemes. Karnataka State Tribal Research Institute (KSTRI) Director Rajesh Gowda, Research Officer Shivakumar, PCO Prabha Urs, Valmiki Development Corporation District Manager M.K. Mallesh, Taluk Welfare Officers Basavaraju, Siddegowda, Narayanaswamy and others were present.
