New Delhi: Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal said the CBSE Board exams would not be held till February 2021 and more discussion was needed to fix the Board exam next year.
Interacting with teachers on Twitter on Tuesday, he said the Board exam situation has been confusing both students and parents as no date has been decided for the start of the CBSE Board exams 2021. Usually, the CBSE Board exam schedule for the upcoming year was released by November in the previous year.
Pokhriyal said the CBSE Board exam syllabus for classes 10 and 12 has been reduced by 30 per cent due to lack of classroom teaching time and as safety measures of the pandemic.
However, it had been speculated since October that CBSE might reduce the Board exam 2021 syllabus even further by reducing it by a total 50 per cent. Moreover, it was noted that the Board exams 2021 might be delayed by two months.
