Mysuru: A blood donation camp was organised by Andhra Bank, Shivarampet, in association with Lions Club of Mysore Garden City, to commemorate the Founder of the Bank, Dr. B. Pattabhi Sitaramayya, in the Bank’s premises recently.
Inaugurating the camp, 2nd Vice-Governor of Lions Club International 317-A Ln.Nagaraj V. Bairy said that if one person donates blood it can be shared among three persons. He lauded the staff of Andhra Bank for organising the blood donation camp at a time when there was a rise in dengue cases across city. There can be no greater deed than blood donation, he added.
C.H. Venkateshwara Rao, Senior Branch Manager, presided and said that the Bank has more than 150 branches in Karnataka and four in Mysuru city.
Latha rendered invocation. Ln. B.R. Ramadas, President of Lions Garden City, Secretary Ln. Puttaswamy and staff of Andhra Bank Guruprasad, Shekhar, Chaitanya Bharath along with Dr. Chalana of Jeeva Dhara Blood Bank were present. Venu Madhav proposed a vote of thanks.
