Mysore/Mysuru: In two separate incidents, the Police have taken action against riders who masked their vehicle registration numbers with stickers, a clear violation of traffic regulations.
The first case involves a scooter rider who affixed a sticker to one digit of the Suzuki Access scooter’s registration number KA-55-EA-6661, mis-leadingly altering it to KA-55-EA-661. V.V. Puram Traffic Police seized the scooter and initiated a cheating case, formally registered at Jayalakshmipuram Police Station.
In a similar instance, V.V. Puram Traffic Police seized a Bajaj Pulsar bike with registration number KA-45-X-9933. The rider had applied a sticker to one of the numbers on the rear registration plate, transforming it to KA-45-X-993, thereby violating traffic rules. A cheating case has been filed at Jayalakshmipuram Police Station.
DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and ACP (Traffic) H. Parashuramappa guided the operations, where V.V. Puram Traffic Inspector M.R. Lava, Sub-Inspector Gautham Gowda, and staff Lokesh and Mylari executed the seizures.
