‘No Purchase’ stir by Bharat Petroleum dealers on Mar. 23

Urging the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to resolve their pending problems, the dealers in Mysuru, Mandya, Chamarajanagar, Hassan and Ramanagar districts will hold a ‘No Purchase’ stir on Mar. 23 besides staging a silent protest in front of BPCL depot in Metagalli here.

Addressing media persons at Patrakarthara Bhavan in city this morning, Mysuru Region Bharat Petroleum Dealers’ Association Working President S. Govindarajan said that the BPCL dealers were facing problems since many years and added that though representations were done many times and even submitting a memorandum to the authorities concerned in this regard, no action has been taken till date resulting in severe loss to the dealers.

Some of their demands include; Waiver of interest charged on loads given on bank holidays, reimbursement of stamping fee and municipal taxes, to stop dealers to implement discount schemes, to put an end to diesel leakage issues at various BPCL service stations among other problems.

Govindarajan said that they would once again submit a memorandum to the  BPCL authorities and stage a silent protest in front of BPCL Depot. The dealers also threatened of shutting the bunks if their problems were not solved at the earliest.
