Mysuru: P. Jayachandra Raju, Chairman of Daksha College, Mysuru, was conferred with ‘Noble Kannadiga International Award’ in recognition of his exemplary contributions to the field of education and social service.
The award ceremony was jointly organised by Kannadambe Samajika Samskrutika Sangha, Bengaluru, and Atmashree Kannada Samskrutika Pratishtana.
The award was announced in April 2024, originally scheduled to be presented during the Kannada Utsava 2025 held in Dubai, which he could not attend due to unforeseen reasons.
The award was presented to him at a special ceremony held in Mysuru recently, in the presence of distinguished guests, by Prof. Mallepuram G. Venkatesh, renowned scholar and retired Vice-Chancellor of Sanskrit University.
Anil Basuki, Kannada Ambassador from Qatar; Dr. Nagaraj V. Bairy, District President of Sugama Sangeetha Parishat; Maddikere Gopal, President of Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Mysuru; multilingual actress Bhoomika; singer Jayanti Bhatt; T. Tyagaraju; Dr. Bhramara Shivashankar; Dr. Gunavanta Manju, President of Atmashree Kannada Cultural Trust and Varalakshmi, President of Kannadambe Social and Cultural Association were the chief guests.
This award stands as a testament to Jayachandra Raju’s unwavering dedication and remarkable service in shaping education and empowering society through his visionary leadership.
