Nominated as Member of Central University

Mysuru: Dr. R. Indira, President, Indian Sociological Society, formerly Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Sociology, University of Mysore, has been nominated as a Member of the ‘Second Court’ of the Central University of Karnataka, Gulbarga, for a three-year term.

The Court is one of the three authorities of the Central University and its powers and functions include reviewing the policies and programmes of the University from time-to-time, suggesting measures for the overall development of the University, besides passing resolutions on the University’s academic and fiscal performance.
