Mysuru: Dr. Renu Agrawal, former Chief Scientist, Rural Program Coordinator and Advisor at CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, has been nominated as an expert member in two National Committees of Ministry of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, New Delhi, for a period of three years from May 2019 to 2022.
These are “Technical Interventions for Addressing Societal Needs” (TIASN) and “Scheme for Young Scientists and Technologists” (SYST). The Committees will look into the project proposals around the nation on health, nutrition, farm and non-farm activities which will help towards the socio-economic development in the country.
Presently, she is also serving in the other National Committees of the Ministry of Science and Technology, namely, ASAR, CODER, Deen Dayal Upadhayay Vigyan Gram Sankul Pariyojana, Indo-US proposals and Children Science Congress. She is also an Executive member of National Academy of Biological Sciences.
