Now, book online for darshan, puja rituals at Chamundeshwari hill temple

Mysuru: Online booking of direct entry tickets for darshan at Chamundeshwari temple atop the Chamundi Hill was launched yesterday for the benefit of devotees and tourists. The facility was launched by District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa. With this, devotees can book darshan tickets through debit and credit cards and also book for various sevas for the Goddess.

Devotees will have to provide basic details like name, phone number, email address and number of tickets on the website www.chamundeshwaritemple.in and payment can be made online through net-banking, credit or debit cards.

The devotees will receive tickets through email and also on their mobile through SMS. At the main gate entry of the temple, tickets received on the mobile phone will be scanned and it will get registered on the temple website as approved entry.

Rituals and ceremonies that cost more than Rs. 100 at the temple will be open for online booking where devotees can choose the dates of their convenience listed on the website and book tickets for pujas of their choice.

Those devotees who cannot be present at the time of the puja will get the prasadam and kumkum through mail. For the Chandika Homa that is conducted in the temple premises, devotees can book the tickets for the date of the homa as fixed by the temple authorities and the same will be updated on the website.

Devotees can also make payments to the offerings box (hundi) and make offerings to the Goddess, Dasoha offering and permanent puja offering. They can reserve their place and date for the ritual where Goddess Chamundeshwari is draped in a sari. Devotees booking their place for this offering must send the sari a day in advance and the saris will be stocked by providing barcode.

The website, developed by Global Buzz, will be active 24X7 and devotees can make use of the facility at the time of their convenience. Once the seva tickets are booked and online offerings are made, devotees will get receipts to their mail and mobile phones (through SMS).
