Haryana: At a Guru Smaran Mahotsav event which was graced by Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji, Pontiff of Sri Avadhoota Datta Peetham in Mysuru and Junior Pontiff Sri Datta Vijayananda Theertha Swamiji, hundreds of Non-Resident Indians(NRIs) recited the entire Bhavad Gita at the very place Kurukshetra in Haryana, where Lord Krishna preached Gita to Arjuna in the battlefield.
More than 400 NRIs from USA, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, UK, Germany, Switzerland, UAE, Kuwait, Australia and New Zealand participated in the Guru Smaran Mahotsav and recited the Bhagavad Gita.
Earlier, the function was inaugurated by Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya who also sought the blessings of Sri Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji.
The NRIs who participated in the event felt that they were fortunate to participate in the event at the place where Lord Krishna preached it to Arjuna. They also hailed the efforts of SGS Gita Pratishthana in organising the event at Kurukshetra .
SGS Gita Foundation has organised Gita Parayaṇas across various cities in India, USA, UK, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
