Mysuru: Nalavattara Nalivu – Nitya Nartana Parva, a programme, organised by Nrityalaya Trust was held at Jaganmohan Palace in city.
Speaking on the occasion, Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji asked people to involve in art and literature which would help keep the morale of the society high.
He opined that persons with good morality can stay anywhere in the world retaining their individuality without getting wooed by any other culture.
He suggested the youth to show interest in Indian art and culture. He commended the excellence achieved by Vidu. Dr. Tulasi Ramachandra in the field of dance and her Engineer husband Ramachandra in the field of Gamaka.
District Co-operative Union President H.V. Rajeev contended that Nrityalaya Trust has achieved much more than what a University can in the field of art. He said that cultural activities can become medicines to treat ills of the society.
Achievers in various fields —Dr. N.S. Taranath (Literature), Vid. M.Y. Puttannaiah (Theatre music), Dr. K. Kumar (Dance) and Vidu. Sunita Chandrakumar (Sugama Sangeetha) were felicitated on the occasion.
Nritalaya team, under the guidance of Dr. Tulasi Ramachandra presented dance-dramas — Deshabakhti Geetha Nartana, Shanti Mantra Mattu Mangala, Haridasa Nartana Parva and other cultural programmes on the occasion.
