Mysuru: Natya Kuteera, Mysuru, in association with Kerala Samajam, Mysuru, has organised a classical dance programme titled ‘Nrutya Aaradhana’ by a constellation of gifted and trained dancers from the School of Indian Classical Dance ‘Natya Kuteera’ at Kalamandira today (Aug.25) at 5.30 pm. The evening promises to be a confluence of Mohiniattam and Bharatanatyam in all its splendour and divinity, enlivening the connoisseurs of Indian classical dance forms.
The main features of ‘Nrutya Aaradhana’ will be to present an ensemble performance of Mohiniyattam and Bharatanatyam. The composition of every dance will be briefly described along with the details of the music accompaniment, to give the audience an idea of the performance.
‘Nrutya Aaradhana’ will be led by the Founder of Natya Kuteera Guru Kalamandalam Suchitra Anil Kumar, a gifted and proficient alumnus of Kerala Kalamandalam. The performers are Akshara C. Urs, Aishwarya Ashok, P.M. Adhulya, Chinmayee Bharadwaj, J. Chhavi, Deva Nandana, K. Gayathri, E. Malavya, Mahathi Vasuki, Mayukha S. Nair, M.S. Nityah Shetty, Sreya Sunil and L. Shreekrupa.
The orchestral ensemble will be led by renowned vocalist Bijeesh Krishnan along with V.V. Charudath on mridanga, Ganabhushanam Suresh on violin, A.K. Raghunath on flute and Ganabhushanam Ajith Kumar on edakka.
Shanthala Vattam, a well-known dancer, singer and anchor from Mysuru, will be the Master of Ceremonies. Subash Chamayam and his team will provide the make-up. Admission for the programme is free.
