Mysore/Mysuru: Nruthya Vidya Peeta, Mysuru, an Academy of Classical Dance and Indian Arts, has organised Nrutya Vandanam-2020 — a Bharatanatyam performance by Brunda Nanjundaswamy on Mar.14 (Saturday) at 6 pm at Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, JLB Road, Mysuru.
Inauguration will be by Guru Vidushi T.S. Sreelaksmi Kumar Director, Sri Umamaheshwara Nruthyakala Kshetra, Mysuru. K.L. Prasannakshi, Retd. Sanskrit Professor, University of Mysore; Rajayogini B.K. Sandhya of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Eshwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya, Vijayanagar, will be the chief guests.
Music ensemble: Dance Choreography and Nattuvangam-Guru Vidushi C.N. Anitha; Vocal-Vid. Rakesh Sudhir; Mridanga – Vid. Y.P. Vikram Bharadwaj; Flute -Vid. A.P. Krishna Prasad and Rythm Pad – Vid. M.V. Skanda; Anchor- M.S. Bharathi.
Profile: Daughter of H.R. Nanjundaswamy and H.S. Radha, Brunda is blessed with an immense passion towards dancing since the age of 5. Brunda is a desciple of Guru Vidushi C.N Anitha of Nruthya Vidya Peeta. She has excelled in junior and senior level Bharatanatyam exam and completed Rangapravesha in the year 2015. She has also completed her Pre-Vidwat in the year 2018 with distinction marks.
Other than dance, Brunda has learnt Karnatak music and has completed junior level in it. Adding a feather to her cap, she is also a yoga practitioner and holds an international yoga teaching certificate. She is currently pursuing her final year engineering in Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering.
