Mysuru: The newly-appointed Vice-Chancellor of Tumkur University Prof. Y.S. Siddegowda was felicitated at NSS Bhavan in Saraswathipuram by NSS volunteers, University of Mysore on Wednesday last.
Former VC of Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Dr. N.S. Ramegowda, speaking after felicitating Prof.Siddegowda, said that there was an inseparable relation between Prof. Siddegowda and NSS. It is a matter of great pride that he has been appointed VC to Tumkur University.
“Whenever Siddegowda met me, he would always say that if he got an opportunity to become a VC he would convert it into a model University. I am sure he will work hard to take Tumkur University educationally forward,” Dr. Ramegowda said.
NSS Advisor H.S. Suresh (retd.) said that during NSS work, Siddegowda would never be contented till it was done to his satisfaction. He has always been very unassuming and that is what NSS inculcates in a person, he added.
Mysore Varsity former VC Prof.M. Madaiah, NSS Co-ordinator Prof.B.K.Shivanna and others were present.
