Mysuru: Stating that Nurses function as ambassadors of medical service, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences, Bengaluru Director Dr.C.N. Manjunath has noted that nurses must see god in the service of patients.
He was speaking after inaugurating a new auditorium and Nursing Day celebration at Jayadeva Cardiology Hospital in PKTB Sanatorium premises on KRS road here yesterday.
Emphasising on the need for nurses to have sensitive and empathetic attitude towards the patients, he also underlined the need for nurses to love their profession and work closely to their heart.
Strongly advocating the need to keep cell phones out while treating patients, he observed that smiley approach in taking medical care of patients will help in faster recovery of patients.
Lauding the service of nurses at Jayadeva Hospital, Dr. Manjunath said that the hospital has got certificate from NABH authority for the quality of nursing services.
Dr. Manjunath further said that the government has sanctioned 7 acres of land for Jayadeva Hospital at Kalaburagi and works on the 300 bed hospital would be completed in three years.
