Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Commissioner Dr. K.V. Rajendra said, “The service of nurses is vital in curing the patients.”
Dr. Rajendra, who addressed the gathering during a programme to administer oath to first year Nursing students, under the auspices of Suyog Nursing College and Suyog Institute of Allied Health Sciences, Ramakrishnanagar here on Friday, said, “If the Nurses sport a smile while speaking to patients, it is enough to instil confidence in them. Nursing service is more in demand in India and also abroad. There is a rise in number of home nurses who take care of patients. The service of Nurses who work in parallel to Doctors is incredible. Likewise, Suyog Hospital has emerged as a ray of hope for poor patients by implementing all the Government schemes.”
Toppers among Nursing students were honoured with a Certificate on the occasion.
Drishti, a Nursing student, was given ‘Yoga Sudha’ Scholarship of Rs. 5,000 instituted for the top-scoring student.
Chairman of Suyog Group of Educational Institutions Dr. S.P. Yoganna presided. Former KSOU VC and Managing Director of Suyog Institutions Dr. N.S. Ramegowda, Chief Executive Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Vice-Chairman Dr. Seema Yoganna, Trustee Sudha Yoganna, Dr. Shyamsundar, Principal Nagamani and Vice-Principal Puneeth were present.
