M.K. Megha, who was serving as the Assistant Director of Mysuru taluk in the Social Welfare Department, is the one who has been suspended pending departmental enquiry.

A girl student from SC Community, who is an inmate of Post-Matric Girl Students Hostel at Bogadi, had complained to Megha urging her to address the water problem issue at the hostel. Megha, submitted a report holding Megha prima facie guilty, following which the Commissioner of Social Welfare Department Dr. Ravikumar Surpur ordered her suspension pending departmental enquiry.
