Mysore/Mysuru: One person was killed, while two others sustained injuries when the car in which they were travelling rammed into an electric pole near Paduvarahalli on Hunsur Road in the wee hours of Wednesday.
While the deceased has been identified as Chiranjeevi (34), a native of Hassan district and presently residing at Bogadi, the two injured are Azeez Ahmed and Puneeth, who have been admitted to a private hospital in city.
On Wednesday at about 1.15 am, Chiranjeevi, Azeez and Puneeth were proceeding in a Ford Fiesta car from St. Joseph’s College side towards Kalamandira, when Chiranjeevi, who was behind the wheels of the car lost control and rammed into a roadside electric pole and toppled resulting all three of them suffering serious injuries.
V.V. Puram Traffic Police, who rushed to the spot, shifted the three injured to a private hospital nearby and later shifted them to JSS Hospital, where Chiranjeevi succumbed to injuries yesterday at about 6 am, according to the Police.
V.V. Puram Traffic Inspector Aruna Kumari, who has registered a case, has seized the car involved in the accident.
