Mysore/Mysuru: Alumni Association of Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), Mysuru, had organised an Alumni Lecture by P.R. Ramesh, an alumnus of 1998 batch Mechanical Engineering, through online mode.
P.R. Ramesh, a graduate in Engineering and MBA, has 22 years of experience in Indian and Multinational organisations heading Operations, Quality and Business Excellence. Currently he is the Vice-President at Seven Steps Business Transformation Systems.
Ramesh delivered a talk on “Problem Solving Skills for Fresh Graduates”, where the talk was attended by more than 250 UG, PG students and many alumni of SJCE spread across the globe. The talk covered on the importance of problems, its understanding and solutions in various Engineering streams. Further, he talked about how a student should get ready to face the domain specific problems that arises in big companies throughout the world.
Ramesh spoke about the various aspects of Six Sigma, Total Quality Management, 5S, Quality & Environmental Management Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Process Management, Training and Organisation Development.
The speaker highlighted the importance of global problems, Socio-Economic problems, Regional problems and Corporate problems and also how a fresh graduate can solve the aforementioned problems.
