Mysore/Mysuru: Three persons including two students have been duped of Rs. 61,837 by online fraudsters. While the students were cheated after luring them into investing by promising high profits, another person was cheated on the pretext of getting his PAN card updated.
The students, who have been duped are 23-year-old P. Ganesh of Vijayanagar 3rd Stage and 22-year-old N.S. Shashank of Manchegowdanakoppal while another person who was also cheated is 39-year-old Anilkumar of Kuvempunagar, all from city.
After luring Ganesh and Shashank, the online fraudsters had made the two invest Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 19,439 respectively in Costa Savings App. Though the app showed that they had earned profits, they were unable to withdraw the money as the fraudsters had blocked the same by integrating the payment gateway, thus cheating them.
