Mysore/Mysuru: As part of its Student Development Programme, ‘Akanksha,’ Commerce Club of Seshadripuram Degree College, Outer Ring Road, Hebbal, had organised an Online Seminar on ‘Uplifting of Indian Economy Post COVID-19’ for all the students across the district on May 9 from its Seminar Hall.
K. Shreedevi N. Prabhu, Coordinator of the Commerce Club, welcomed the participants and introduced the Resource Person of the Online Seminar, Dr. Ramesh Salian, Deputy Controller of Examination, University of Tumkur.
The Resource Person spoke at length about, ‘Uplifting of Indian Economy Post COVID-19.’ He said that the GDP of India has completely fallen down due to COVID-19 but India has favourable chances of uplifting its GDP post COVID-19 because the whole world is looking at India for their future investments. India has enormous opportunities to improve its economy by utilising its manpower, exports and imports, pharmaceutical industry, health care sector and a host of other sectors. He was of the opinion that India will become a hub of higher education in the future.
“COVID-19 has been a blessing in disguise for India to improve its economy. India must re-define its economic plans, policies and must work hard productively empowering the youth and the migrant workers. India must help its citizen to maintain a good health in order to uplift the economy of the country. India has dynamic leaders and leadership and therefore, it should be able to recover within no time,” he added.
