Mysore/Mysuru: A five-day online Training-cum-Workshop on Testing and Evaluation for Assistant Professors, Teachers (Secondary and Higher Secondary) and Research Scholars of Telugu from all over India, began at National Testing Service-India (NTS-I) of Central Institute of Indian Languages (CIIL), Mysuru, on Dec.7.
In his inaugural address, Prof. P.R. Dharmesh Fernandez, Professor-cum-Deputy Director, CIIL and Head, NTS-I, briefed the activities of NTS-I through its three functional units — Research & Development, Survey & Documentation, Consultancy & Training. He said that NTS has been doing its best to sort out and solve the issues related to language testing & evaluation.
Prof. Viswanthappa and Prof. P. R. Harinath, both from Regional Institute of Education, NCERT, Mysuru; Prof. M. Sampath Kumar, former Professor of Telugu, University of Madras; Dr. R. Mahendar Reddy, Assistant Professor in Telugu, Government Degree & PG College, Siddipeta, Telangana; NTS-I faculties — Dr. V. Ilangovan, Dr. R. Shakunthala, Dr. M. Narayana Reddy and Technical JRPs — Ancy Thomas, K. S. Raghavan, Amit Kumar Jha, N. Kashyap and Ghazala Sulatana will train the participants in various academic and technical sessions of this online workshop.
Dr. Pankaj Dwivedi, Officer In-Charge, NTS-India is the Programme coordinator. Prof. C.G. Venkatesha Murthy, Director, CIIL, Mysuru is overall patron of the workshop.
About sixty teachers/research scholars, who have engaged in teaching/research of Telugu from various Higher Secondary Schools, Universities and Colleges of India, are participating in this online workshop.
