Mysore/Mysuru: Mysore Open Forum has organised an Open House Discussion on ‘National Education Policy (NEP)’ at Kalpa Kshetra Auditorium, #581/1, Vijayanagar 4th Stage, 1st Phase, Mysuru on Oct. 15 at 10.30 am. [Mob: 94498-19536]
The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Bhamy V. Shenoy, Oil Expert and Social Activist. He is an IITM graduate and has a Ph.D in Business Administration from University of Houston. He is one of the Founders of Mysore Grahakara Parishat (MGP), an NGO fighting for the rights of citizens.
Currently he is a Trustee of rural-based NGO Sehgal Foundation besides being Advisor to Pratham Mysuru, an NGO working in the field of universal education.
NEP-2020 aspires to position the nation as a prominent global hub of knowledge and innovation. This ambitious vision is realised through a comprehensive and significant strategy comprised of four key pillars — accessibility, equity, high quality and accountability. There have been objections from many of the States which would like to have their own State Education Policies. There have been many political angles in opposing NEP. The discussion will give opportunities for attendees to air their views and justification thereto. The talk is open to all.
