Prof. M. Umapathy is a former Professor and Chairman, Department of Political Science, University of Mysore, Manasagangothri. He is the author of several books and has been active in organising lectures and events of public interest.
Ravi Joshi did his MA in Political Science at Manasagangothri in 1974 after which he went on to do his M.Phil at the School of International Studies at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
He was an Under Secretary in the Ministry of Defence before joining the Indian External Intelligence Service, the Research & Analysis Wing and served there for over 25 years. He has had three diplomatic assignments; in the Maldives, Kenya and Austria during which he also served as India’s Alternate Permanent Representative to two UN agencies, United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) in Nairobi, Kenya and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) in Vienna, Austria.
