Mysore/Mysuru: With Air connectivity between Bengaluru and Shivamogga launched on Thursday, former Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FKCCI) President S. Sudhakar Shetty has appealed Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha to take measures for operating flights from Mysuru to Shivamogga and Mangaluru.
In a letter written to the MP on Thursday, Shetty said that Mysuru is an Industrial hub and many people from Malnad and coastal region are visiting the city everyday. Pointing out that the daily flights between Mysuru and Mangaluru has been halted recently, he said that it has badly affected travellers and tourists from Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Chikkamagalur. Several people from DK and Shivamogga have settled in Mysuru and the stoppage of the flight has affected them, he said and urged the MP to resume Mysuru-Mangaluru flights.
