Mysuru: The Mysuru City Traffic Police, who conducted ‘Operation Cheetah,’ a drive against traffic rule violators from 3.30 pm to 7 pm at various places in city, have booked a total of 2,348 cases besides collecting Rs. 2,63,200 fine from the violators. As the Police have given time for riders to buy new helmets with ISI mark, those riding without helmets were spared but cases were booked for other traffic rule violations.
As ‘Operation Cheetah’ would be conducted on any day and any time, City Police Commissioner has requested motorists to carry their vehicle documents and DLs with them.
