Mysore/Mysuru: Organisations such as Karnataka State Backward Classes Awareness Forum, Dalit Organisations Federation and Dalit Students Federation have demanded the postponement of the KAS Preliminary Exam conducted by KPSC which is scheduled to take place on Aug. 24.
Addressing a press meet at Patrakarthara Bhavan here yesterday, Karnataka State Backward Classes Awareness Forum President K.S. Shivaramu said that nearly 20 percent of those who are to take up the exam are already Government servants who have been deployed for COVID duty and they need to prepare themselves for the exam. He added that it was not proper to victimise the KAS aspirants just to safeguard the interests of a few KPSC members and officials who are set to retire in a few months. KAS exams cannot be compared with SSLC exams, he said.
Dalit Organisations Federation Convenor P. Raju, Dalit Students Federation Hon. Advisor Sosale Mahesh and Youth leader R.K. Ravi were present.
