Organised strategy helped Congress win: MP

Nanjangud – Maintaining that a well co-ordinated planning and an organised strategy helped the Congress win Nanjangud (SC) and Gundlupet by-polls, Chamarajanagar MP R. Dhruvanarayan said that the Congress victory is people’s stamp on the 4-year rule of Chief Minister Siddharamaiah.

Speaking to press persons here this afternoon after the victory of Nanjangud Congress candidate Kalale Keshavamurthy, Dhruvanarayan said the party started the by-poll campaign with development agenda.

Asserting that the Congress fielded a humble and clean candidate for Nanjangud by-poll, the MP said the Congress which had won 7 out of the 8 Assembly segments of Chamarajanagar Lok Sabha seat in the 2008 Assembly elections, improved its tally further by winning all the 8 Assembly segments in 2013 Assembly polls.

Stating that Chamarajanagar LS seat was always a Congress stronghold, he said the voters have approved the programmes, schemes and initiatives launched by the CM.

Noting that all communities have voted for Congress in the by-polls, the MP termed BJP’s allegation of rampant misuse of power and administrative machinery, as a baseless allegation made out of frustration.
