Over 15,000 candidates appear for K-SET exam in city

Mysuru: The K-SET (Karnataka State Eligibility Test) – 2024 conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority for gaining eligibility for appointment as Assistant Professors in Degree Colleges of the State, was held peacefully at as many as 35 centres spread across the city this morning.

There were two papers, the first one (Paper-1) being on General Knowledge and the second one (Paper-2) on Optional subjects.

The exam was conducted for 18 optional subjects in the city centres.

A total of 15,359 candidates had registered for the exam at city centres.

The exam was held under tight Police security and all the candidates appearing for the exam were frisked before being allowed entry to the exam centres.

Additional DC Shivaraju and other top district officials visited the centres for overseeing the conduct of the exam.
