P. Basavaraju (72), retired Dy.SP and a resident of Police Layout, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in city.
A native of Chatnahallipalya village in the taluk, he is survived by his wife Kanthamani, sons JSS Mahavidyapeetha Deputy Director Ashok Palya and advocate Abhishek Palya and a host of relatives and friends.
Last rites were held at his native place this afternoon.
