Mysore/Mysuru: State Farmers Association (Kodihalli Chandrashekar faction) and Dalit Sangarash Samiti (DSS)-Bheemvad will be taking out a Padayatra from Mysuru to Bengaluru jointly to protest against the diversion of Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan & Tribal-Sub Plan (SCSP-TSP) funds by the State Government to other programmes, said DSS-Bheemvad State Convenor Dr. R. Mohanraj, here yesterday.
Addressing the mediapersons at the Patrakarthara Bhavan, here yesterday, he said, “The Fovernment led by CM Siddaramaiah has used Rs. 25,000 crore to fund reserved under SCSP-TSP for guarantee schemes. In addition, the State Government has diverted Rs. 70,000 under the plan to various projects since the enactment of SCSP and TSP Act in 2013,” he added.
Demanding for a CBI inquiry into Valmiki Corporation and MUDA scams, Mohanraj said that the Padayatra would reach Bengaluru on Aug. 20 to insist on fulfilling their demands.
