Paediatric Nurses undergo training in Baby Oral Hygiene

Mysuru: JSS University Medical Institutions launched yet another social contribution through Baby Oral Health Promotion Clinic established in 2014, an extension clinic of JSS Dental College at the Department of Paediatrics, JSS Hospital, by imparting training to Paediatric Nurses on Baby Oral Hygiene.

Dr. Rajiv Kumar Chugh, Honorary Secretary of International College of Dentists, was  the chief guest. Dr. B. Nandlal, South Zonal Deputy Regent of International College of Dentists, Dr. M.D. Ravi, Director, JSS Hospital, Dr. K. Jagadish Kumar, HoD of Paediatrics, JSS Hospital, Dr. Anil Kumar Gujjari, Principal, JSS Dental College and Hospital, Dr. Narayanappa, Professor, Department of Paediatrics, JSS Hospital and Dr. M.D. Indira of JSS Dental College  were present on the occasion.

The paediatric nurses were imparted training on baby oral hygiene methods. Also an educative video demonstration on brushing and mouth rinsing was launched at the JSS Hospital and Department lobby areas so that a large number of young parents visiting the hospital get educated on the age-wise oral hygiene from 0 to 12 years.

Anticipatory guidance educative display to aid the parents and caretakers for age-wise required oral care before the onset of diseases in children was also released on the occasion, according to a press release.
