Pahilwan Etharam Singh Chakkilal, 71, has been selected to bring this year’s kreeda jyothi for the upcoming Dasara Wrestling Championship.
Etharam is from the famous Fakir Ahmed Saheb Garadi (wrestling house). Born to Chakkilal and Vidyapathi Singh in Agra, he settled in Mysuru and learnt wrestling from Fakir Ahmed Saheb and Pahilwan Subbanna Garadis. He has also taken part in many State and National level wrestling tournaments.
