Paramjyothi Manteswamy National Seminar in city on Aug. 24

Mysore/Mysuru: A National Seminar on Paramjyothi Manteswamy: Ondu Maru Darshana is being jointly organised by Bodhivruksha Society for Development Organisation, Karnataka Janapada Academy, Department of Social Work, University of Mysore (UoM) and All India Radio (AIR) Mysuru at Vijnana Bhavan, Manasagangothri in city, on Aug. 24 at 11 am.

This was announced by senior announcer of AIR Mysuru Dr. Umesh Mysore at a press conference held at Pathrakartara Bhavan in the city recently.

Giving details of the event, Dr. Umesh said that Prof. H.S. Shivaprakash, Prof. Venkatesh Indvadi, Dr. Banjagere Jayaprakash and Dr. Shankanapura Mahadeva will participate in the National Seminar.

Paramjyothi Manteswamy, who hailed from Neelagara tradition and had vast expertise in folklore, was also called as Dharege Doddavaru. The rich culture of Kannadigas, their tradition and dignity which were disseminated by Manteswamy, will be revisited in this new era at the seminar. This is the main intention of the event, said Dr. Umesh.

Mysuru Nagaraj, Ahinda Javarappa and M.S. Chandra were present at the press meet.
