Parking problem for 4-wheelers at cftri gate of Railway Station

Sir,

I would like to draw the attention of authorities concerned and people’s representatives towards the parking problem for four-wheelers at the cftri gate of City Railway Station.

This Gate is used by a large number of the population of Mysuru and its western neighbourhood areas. But there is no provision of parking four-wheelers nearby this Gate. Every possible place where a car can be parked is marked as “no parking” and a fine of Rs. 500 is charged for parking there.

The area in front of the entrance was recently widened by spending huge amount and there was a hope for motorists that it will provide parking facility for them but it was not.

Therefore I suggest to utilise the available space around the cftri gate of Railway Station for short or minimum time parking may be as paid service so that the public at large, specially those who come to purchase tickets or receive their guests can be benefited and Railways too may earn revenue.
