Parvathamma recovering, still not out of danger

Bengaluru: Parvathamma Rajkumar, wife of late matinee idol Dr. Rajkumar, who is undergoing treatment at the M.S. Ramaiah Hospital, is responding well to treatment and is showing signs of recovery, said the  doctors this morning.

According to sources, the 78-year-old continues to be on life support as she is being treated for the multiple organ complications. “Parvathamma has shown improvement since last night and has been responding to treatment well. She is still on life support and not completely out of danger and the next 24 hours will be critical,” said Dr. Naresh Shetty, President of M.S. Ramaiah Hospital.

The Hospital has stopped the dialysis following improvement in her renal functioning. Actors Raghavendra Rajkumar, Shivrajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar have requested people not take the rumours about their mother’s passing away seriously. They said that the condition of her health remained same as yesterday.

Parvathamma was admitted to the Hospital last week after she complained about respiratory problems. She had recently recovered from breast cancer and currently the veteran producer is said to be undergoing treatment for liver, lungs and kidneys complications.
